It's been raining almost all week, but today it was sunny: perfect for a trip to the Local Goods Weekend Market. This weekend was the fourth edition of this small but nice market that is filled with products made in Amsterdam. These are my impressions!

You'll find the market in the newly renovated Tramremise De Hallen, Amsterdam West. Tramdepot the Halls, as it translates, has historically been a closed enclave in the late nineteenth-century expansion, characterized by long closed blocks with monumental facades facing the street. Behind the facades lies a spatial innerworld. A restaurant, a hotel and soon a movie theater and a hairdresser are amongst the inhabitants of the building.

The market atracts local brewers, sowers, solders, bakers, juicers and designers to sell their locally sourced products. It gives you a nice look into the Amsterdam creative scene.

The Amsterdam Travelogue doesn't accept any paid advertising, free services/products, goodies, bribes and so on. All the things and tips in my guides are there, because I love them.
