The Amsterdam Travelogue is the result of my passion for finding & sharing. Of my love for the unusual things you find in cities when you know a local. And I would like you to discover the Amsterdam I know and adore. That's why I make maps of this city, either with places I love to share or personalized just for you, your family, friends or business relations.

I am a collector, of places and people as well as object. Not originally from Amsterdam, but this city has become my home and stolen my heart. I am utterly in love with my bike, which takes me everywhere and makes me discover new things and places all the time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When I think about it, I'm a Dutch cliché: I bike, walk on clogs (altough modern ones) and love love love tulips. And still some of my foreign friends seem to forget I'm Dutch and look suprised when I start speaking it in front of them. 

I also really like smelly cheeses, wines and ciders, books, cats, Tati, flea markets, tea, bags, city trips, my sisters and swimming. Paris, Copenhagen and Budapest are some of my favorite destinations for short trips and meeting new people.

 

My perfect day in Amsterdam

I bike around in the morning sun and do some shopping, go the market to get fresh fruit and veggies for the week and maybe accidentally find some cool places. Then, meet up with friends for lunch. In the afternoon a glass of wine in the park, which turns into a barbeque in the evening 'till we get kicked out of the park. Amsterdam is big enough to meet new people but small enough to run into friends, so there's always good times to be had.
