A few more tips and images I wanted to share with you.

Santini has some of the best icecream I have ever tried. More than 60 years ago, Attilio Santini opened the doors to what is now the most famous ice cream parlour in Portugal. “Going for a Santini!” is a tradition. Even according to the Portuguese president: “They say that the recipe for Santini ice cream is one of Portugal’s best kept secrets. But what caused its reputation and success is no secret at all: their emphasis on quality." (It has a branch at the above mentioned Mercado da Ribeira, but also on Rua do Carmo 9, Chaido area)

LX Factory is a creative hub, right under the huge bridge on the west side of the city. At the industrial complex there are galaries, shops, restaurants, chocolatiers, markets, music and more. (Rua Rodrigues de Faria, 103 | 09:00 – 00:00 daily)

Fish, fish and more fish in tins by Conserveira de Lisboa. The store is small but worth a visit. They, also, have a branch at the Mercado da Ribeira, but this store is so much more interesting and old. The tins get packed by hand and send out all over the world. (Rua dos Bacalhoeiros 34 | Mon to Sat - 9:00 - 19:00 | Take tram 28 eastbound and get out at Largo da Madalena)
