A lot has happened in Amsterdam in 2013. But that's over and done and I am looking forward to 2014. Do you? You should! If you haven't made plans to be in Amsterdam somewhere this year, make them now. According to "experts: Amsterdam will have an amazing year, I'll optimistically take their word for it. And looking at some of the upcoming events in the city, it will be fun indeed.

Ofcourse we will have our very first Kings Day. Long live the king! His nickname is King Beer so it should be at least as good as Queens Day used to be.

Until the 16th of March you can admire Schönberg & Kandinsky - Rebellion in art and music at the Jewish Historical Museum, with works of Gustav Mahler, Albert Einstein, Gabriele Münter and Wassily Kandinsky.

Taking a look outside the city centre, you will find some really nice & new lunch places, like Rue de Sevres in Oud-West. Owner Mijoux is part French and serves charcuterie and cheese, aperitifs, breakfast and lunch with Parisian flair. I'll be trying out their crepes soon.

From June untill September you can see the photographs of the Pixsea Oeuvre Award winner, Italian photographer Guido Guidi (Cesena, IT, 1941) at Huis Marseille.

Just a few things, more to come ofcourse!

The Amsterdam Travelogue doesn't accept any paid advertising, free services/products, goodies, bribes and so on. All the things and tips in my guides are there, because I love them.
